Professor Chen Junyang is actively engaged in research focusing on personalized recommendation systems under incomplete multimodal data conditions. His work aims to enhance the effectiveness of user interest modeling methods, improve model generalization for item recommendations, and increase accuracy in sparse data scenarios. He has published numerous scholarly articles in top-tier international journals and conferences, such as IEEE/ACM Transactions, and has collaborated with industry partners to implement research outcomes.

Prof. Chen serves as a program committee member for leading AI conferences including AAAI, ACL, and RecSys. He also acts as a guest editor for the international journal TCSS (in the second quartile according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences classification) and reviews papers for prestigious AI journals TNNLS and TNSE.

The professor is currently looking for motivated master's students with strong Python programming skills to join his research group. Doctoral candidates interested in applying for postdoc positions at Shenzhen University are invited to contact him at junyangchen@szu.edu.cn.

Admission Requirements for Joining the Research Group:

- Accepted into the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering.

- Estimated annual openings: 2-3 direct-entry master's spots, giving preference to academic masters.

- Suitable for self-motivated students willing to participate in the professor's research projects, both vertically and horizontally oriented.

- Preference given to those with a background in deep learning and experience using frameworks like PyTorch.

- Open to prospective graduate students keen on pursuing research in large models and recommendation systems, multimodal recommendation systems, and related fields. (Those unsure of their admission status to the college should not inquire.)

Year-round Internship Opportunity:Open to undergraduate students at Shenzhen University.

Graduation Requirements:Active participation in the professor's research projects and contribution to or independent publication of 1-2 first-author or co-first-author papers in CCF A/B-class journals or CCF A-class conferences.
