Dr. Wang Lu is an associate professor at the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Shenzhen University. She received her bachelor's degree from the School of Information Science and Technology at Nankai University in June 2009 and her Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in January 2014. Following her doctorate, she continued at HKUST as a postdoctoral fellow until February 2015. In June 2015, she was recruited as an overseas high-level talent by the Shenzhen municipal government and currently serves as an associate professor at Shenzhen University.
Her primary research interests lie in wireless networks and mobile computing, with specific focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, wearable computing, wireless perception computing, and wireless big data. Over recent years, Dr. Wang has published more than 40 papers in major international academic journals and conferences. Among these, 15 publications have appeared in top-tier journals indexed by SCI, including the IEEE Transactions on Networking, with nine of them being either first-authored or co-correspondent. She has also presented over 30 papers at premier international conferences such as IEEE INFOCOM and IEEE ICNP.
Dr. Wang has authored one English-language academic monograph published by Springer, a renowned international academic and educational publisher. She holds one U.S. patent and 28 Chinese patents. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Technological Talent under the "Special Support Plan of Guangdong Province" and classified as a Class C overseas high-level talent in Shenzhen. Additionally, she is considered a reserve talent in Shenzhen and a leading talent in the Nanshan District.
Dr. Wang's work has been acknowledged through several prestigious awards, including:

- Second Prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Award (Technological Invention) in 2016,
- Tencent Rhino-Bird Shenzhen University Young Teacher Research Fund Project Award,

- Finalist for the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Global Communications Conference (Globecom 2014),
- Winner of the ACM Hong Kong Chapter Prof. Francis Chin Research Award in 2013,
- Recipient of the HKUST School of Engineering PhD Fellowship Award in 2013,
- Best Paper Award at the IEEE Global Communications Conference (Globecom 2012),
- Sole Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS 2012).
She has guided students who have won the sole Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Sensing, Communication, and Networking (SECON 2018) and the Best Student Paper Award at the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation (MSN 2016).
Dr. Wang currently serves as a guest editor for the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Peer-to-Peer Networking and Applications Journal, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Journal. She is also the lead editor for the ICSES Interdisciplinary Transactions on Cloud Computing, IoT, and Big Data and an associate editor for the same journal. She has chaired workshops at IEEE ICPADS 2017 and acts as a reviewer for top-tier conferences and journals such as Infocom, JSAC, and TMC.
